v2011 - SP1 APS Macro Delivery
v2011 - SP1 APS Macro Delivery
The APS macros delivered in this package are illustrated in this document. Different macros must be
used for to create nodal connection plates for built-up members (plate girders) and standard members
because of the trimming behavior. APS macros will trim (rebound) the flange of built-up members. The
automatic trimming of standard members by APS macros is not currently supported. Standard members
can be trimmed using the Generic Member Assembly Connection Command. The delivered macros are
described below:
The bulkload spreadsheet delivered with this package will organized the APS macros in the catalog by
type and applicability (plate girders vs. standard members) as is shown below:
The common node is not required for gusset plates on standard members because v2011 SP1 does not
support the automatic trimming of standard members by the APS macro. There are a number of manual
methods to trim the end of the standard tubular (pipe) member.
