A SHOWER OF PETALS GREETS THE

RELICS OF ST. THERESE AT PACO
A rose petal shower had

greeted the relics of St. Therese

of the Child Jesus when they

arrived last Sunday, Febuary 18,

at San Fernando De Dilao church

Paco, Manila.

Parishioners who had positioned themselves on top of the

church threw down red and white rose petals when the relics of

the saint also known as “The Little Flower” made it into the

church. While those who were waiting by the doors had waved

yellow flaglets as a band played in the background.

Parish priest of Paco Church, Monsignor Rolando Dela Cruz

said that they felt honored to have been visited by the relics for

the second time.

“May your visit bring us real conversion, repentance, and new

life,” said Monsignor Dela Cruz.

Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, born in

France 1873, has been a highly influential

model of sanctity for Catholics because of her

“simplicity and practicality of her approach to

the spiritual life.”
