INTRODUCTION

Nursing management consists of the performance of the leadership functions of governance


and decision-making within organizations employing nurses. It includes processes common
to all management like planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling. It is common
for registered nurses to seek additional education to earn a Master of Science in
Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice to prepare for leadership roles within nursing.
Management positions increasingly require candidates to hold an advanced degree in nursing.
As per nursing management requirement we went to Narayana hrudayalaya college of
nursing on --- Based on values Narayana hrudayalaya institute of health science is one of the
top destination for aligned health science courses. The group is run by eminent doctor devi
prasad Shetty. Since 2001, Narayana Hrudayalaya has been among the world's largest cardiac

ELIGIBILITY
 The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in
which admission is sought.
 Minimum education:
 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with
aggregate of 50% marks from recognized board under
AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
 Student shall be medically fit.
 Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of
Open School with 50% marks.
 Student shall be admitted once in a year.

ELIGIBILITY
 The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife of equivalent
with any State Nursing Registration Council.
 The Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc.
Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
 The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post
Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
 Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
 Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

3. GNM
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
 Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years respectively. For
ANM/ LHV. There is no age bar.
 Minimum education:
 10+2 class passed or its equivalent preferably with Science (Physics, Chemistry and
Biology) subjects with aggregrate of 45% marks.
 Those who have cleared 10+2 vocational ANM course (revised after 2001) from the
School recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
 ANM training i.e. 10+1 O years training should also have passed +2 or its equivalent
examination.
 Admission of students shall be once in a year.
 Students shall be medically fit.

DURATION OF THE COURSE
The Diploma course in General nursing and Midwifery is three years.

4. P.B.B.Sc. Nursing
ELIGIBILITY
 Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an
equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose. Those who have
done 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission. Upper age limit is 48
years.
 Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M.
with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained before the
implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with
State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by
Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the
following areas:

 Leprosy Nursing
 TB Nursing
 Psychiatric Nursing
 Neurological and Neuro surgical Nursing
 Community Health Nursing
 Cancer Nursing
 Orthopaedic Nursing
