Subject: Justification for the set of instruction’s design

This memorandum highlights the detail on the thought process I came up with when designing the
instruction set for the vacation goers, specifically to be instructed to the house sitters.

OVERALL DESIGN
I used Arnprior font with bright orange colour for the main title to attract the attention of the
reader. Most of the text used are written with Times New Roman font except the content of the
bubble monologue and the reference at the end of the document. Only three colours are used
here, black, white, and bright orange to maintain consistency as well make the most of the
contrast of the colour to attract reader’s attention. Each instruction is accompanied with pictures
describing the action related to the instruction given to create interest for the reader. Main
instructions are bold and capitalized while white spaces are given to each of the sub-instruction
to highlight the content for the reader. It was aligned consistently aside with the images to
maintain the composition balance for the whole document.

WORDING PURPOSE
The title highlighted the need of the precaution for the vacation goers. Most of the instruction
used the same verb as a repetition for the reader. This will make it easier for them to skim
through the content quicker. Special notices are written in italics with exclamation mark to
highlights how to prevent false alarm that can be caused related to the main instruction above it.
It also acts as a mean of having conversation with the reader after they have read the tedious sub-
instruction above it. The sub-instruction are made of simple word so that the main instruction can
be executed properly. On top of that, the bubble preserve as a bonus humorous content but with
subtle meaning to support the main instruction besides it. The reference at the end are written in
small size font serves as disclaimer for all the image used.
