Negative Adjustment Letter Example
Thank you for your phone call on July 15, 2018 regarding the inquiry on our progress with the
transmitting tower construction in Saskatoon. We are committed to make sure the completed tower
have solid stability and able to function properly for your television station.
During the construction of any building, it is important to have a good foundation beneath it to
prevent the building from collapse. To achieve this, we at M&K sent our staff members to do
foundation investigation on the soils and rock at the site. We took random sample on the surface
of the soil and initially approved the condition of the soil. However, our Technical Engineer, Rory
Mercury found mud after excavating for the foundation which would not be able to support the
tower’s foundation. Sometimes, a preliminary test provide only a prediction on overall soil
condition. Hence why in our case, the sample taken was a miss and need to be reallocated.
We shifted our location on a new site therefore the project need to be delayed for another two
weeks. This time, we did in-depth foundation investigation and had made sure that there was no
problem for us to proceed building the tower on this new site. I ensured you that other parts
regarding the project were on schedule.
I am happy that you are concern about our progress on the project. Please contact me if you have
any further questions at 250-137-1789, ext 101.
Sincerely,
Aiman Ridwan
