Graduation Requirements Graduates must complete 8 semesters of full time student status. This means that you must carry at least 4 classes and PE for 8 semesters. (‘The only exception to this requirement is seniors who have applied and been accepted for carly graduation. See your counselor at the start of your senior year if yon are interested in early graduation — there is an application deadline.) PE is now counted toward GPA/Rank beginning with the class of 2021. If ‘you are scheduled for 7 academic classes - all 7 classes are counted toward your GPA/Rank. Juniors/Seniors - If you are out of PE on a sports waiver, you are still m ing your PE requirement with that waiver however you do not receive a 1/2 credit. Juniors/Seniors ~ If you are planning to take 7 academic classes, no PE an overload form is required for approval. Course/Credit Requirements English — 8 semesters or 8 credits Math — 6 semesters or 6 credits Science — 4 semesters or 4 credits (2 credits from Biology and 2 credits from a Physical Science ~ students may choose the following: Semester courses: Astronomy, Meteorology, Geology, or Topies in Physics; or a year course of Geoscience, Chemistry or Physics) Social Science — 4 semesters or 4 credits (2 credits from U.S. History are required. World History must be taken as a freshman and American Government must be taken sophomore year) Consumer Education ~ 1 semester or 1 credit (Classes that meet this requirement are Applied Consumer Economies, Economies, Personal Finance or by passing the full year of Introduction to Business or Cooperative Education class.) Fine Arts, Foreign Language, or Vocational Education — 2 semesters or 2 credits Health — 1 semester or 1 credit PE~7 semesters (a PE or Health is required every semester enrolled or the appropriate waiver) Pass Constitution Test Total of 40 credits or more
