learning differences or needs.
Comments
We discussed today the different levels of learners in her class that she is noticing and how she might modify instruction to meet the needs of all her learners. Tiera is planning to
talk with Mrs. Vreeland about how she can apply this to her lesson planning and delivery of instruction in future lessons.
"Tiera could definitely work on her interaction with the children to bring out their different learning abilities." Mrs. Vreeland
CLINICAL PRACTICE EVALUATION 2
This dual placement has given minimal time for Tiera to adapt to teaching early childhood. Mrs. Vreeland noticed it is a bit of a challenge for Tiera to keep the attention of the
2 &3 year olds. Mrs. Vreeland plans to give more input to help Tiera grow in having a tool box of strategies to keep little ones engaged. Tiera has caught on to the routines
and procedures in the classroom and is growing in her ability to set firm, but loving boundaries for discipline. She has a kind, steady and gentle demeanor that is great for
working with preschoolers. She has an ability to not react, but instead distract or engage students to get them back on task defusing the situation.

Even in preschool we are still teaching to the standards, thinking about objectives and what we want the preschoolers to master socially and academically. It is important to
match those standards and objectives to the assessments that are given. Tiera has had some experience assessing students with oversight from Mrs. Vreeland.
CLINICAL PRACTICE EVALUATION 2
Teacher candidates actively seek professional, community, and technological resources, within and outside 75 1.00
the school, as supports for analysis, reflection, and problem solving.
Comments
Tiera was unable to complete her summer hours through this placement. We discussed at the start of the summer that she needed to be working full 8 hour days and she
adjusted her schedule. She has a very full plate with transitioning back to work the same time she will be finishing her placement. She has worked with a diverse group of 16
preschoolers and continues to be open to growing professionally and is receptive to feedback. She is adapting her practice as she receives feedback and continues to make
progress. She is evaluating her teaching strategies and adapting her lessons to meet the needs of preschoolers.
