Log-Log Plot (Pi-Pwf) vs t
• Use for determine the wellbore storage coefficient and the end of
wellbore storage period
• Wellbore storage can be recognize from log-log plot between (Pi-Pwf)
vs time (when the line with 450 slope is present).
With wellbore storage
No wellbore storage

Line with 450 slope

The slope is not 450
Semi Log Plot Pwf vs. t
• Use for determine the formation permeability (k) and skin factor.
• First, find the slope (m) from the semi log plot. Unit of m in psi/log cycle.
• Second, determine the formation permeability by using k = 162,6QµB/mh
• Third, determine the P1hr, which is the Pwf (pick from the straight line, not
from the data) at t=1hr.
• Fourth, calculate the skin factor by using ,
𝑃𝑖−𝑃1ℎ𝑟 𝑘
𝑠 = 1,151 − 𝑙𝑜𝑔 + 3,23
𝑚 ∅𝜇𝑐𝑡 𝑟𝑤 2
• Determine the P due to skin, Pskin = 0,869mS
𝑃𝑖−𝑃𝑤𝑓𝑜−∆𝑃𝑠𝑘𝑖𝑛
• Calculate Flow Efficiency (FE), 𝐹𝐸 =
𝑃𝑖−𝑃𝑤𝑓𝑜
• Pwfo ditentukan dari Cartesian plot Pwf vs t, pada saat t=0
