put each parent in a basket and tie each to an end of a bamboo pole, which he shouldered while on their pilgrimage while hunting in the forest Dashratha heard a sound near a lake and unleashed an arrow, hoping to hit an animal. Arrow hit Shravan who was filling water pot to quench the thirst of his old parents.
Dashrath realized his mistake ran to the young boy Shravan
who was lying in a pool of blood and asked forgiveness Dashrath took the water to the blind couple. He told them about his mistake and about their dear son's accidental death and inturn they cursed him that he, too would meet his death caused by the sorrow of separation from his son
