How the device is intended to be used
Step 1: Assemble the fixture pieces. Rotate the disk until it reaches the end of the thread and sitting
next to the shoulder portion of the screw. Tighten the Flange Nut to lock in the Disk. Spring should be
fully relaxed.

Step 2: Pull the flange Nut (or press the screw) and attach the fixture onto the assembled helmet
bump/tab feature (only tab is shown). Spring should be compressed to allow room to attach to helmet
bump/tab.
Step 3: Slowly release the spring until the tip of the tab hits the surface of the inspection disk

Step 4: Rotate the Disk, either by the Flange Nut end or by the Screw head end, counter clockwise.
Evaluate: If L end passes the bump, it’s a fail, otherwise the assembly meets the 0.11” high end.

Step 5: Rotate the disk clockwise.

Evaluate: If the S end does not pass the bump, it’s a fail. If it moves past the bump, the assembly
meets the 0.09” low end.
