Report of PD activity on the generator in the Thermal Power Plant Stanari

In Thermal Power Plant Stanari is used PDI-Partial discharge intenisity for alarming. There are four thresholds: Normal, Warning level 1, Warning
level 2, and Warning level 3. The Normal threshold used internally to suppress trend alarm calculations while the PD parameter is below this level,
a detailed explanation of the signals, settings, and related actions is given in the table.

Table 1. PDI signal settings and related actions

Signal Settings Actions
PDI Normal 𝑃𝐷𝐼 ≤ 500 𝑚𝑊 Good conditions of insulation system
PDI Warning level 1 500 𝑚𝑊 < 𝑃𝐷𝐼 ≤ 2500 𝑚𝑊 More frequently monitoring is required.
PDI Warning level 2 2500 𝑚𝑊 < 𝑃𝐷𝐼 ≤ 3000 𝑚𝑊 Possible demage on insulation system. Contacting of manufacturer is
required.
PDI Warning level 3 𝑃𝐷𝐼 > 3000 𝑚𝑊 High possibility of insulation demage. Immediattly contact with
manufacturer is required.
Trend shown belowe reprsents PDI for period 01/03/2018-08/05/2018. At the ordiante axis is shown PDI-partial discharge intensity in mW, and
at the abscissa axis is shown time.
Over a period of tome beetwen 08/04/2018-04/05/2018 no recorded measurments from PD device becase unit outage.
