MORE THAN AN AIRCRAFT
INTEGRATED TRAINING SYSTEM

INTRODUCING THE TRAINER OF THE FUTURE

The T-100 is more than just an aircraft. It’s

a turnkey solution for the U.S. Air Force’s
T-X program.

Team T-100 is comprised of CAE USA for

ground based training, Honeywell for propulsion
engines, Leonardo Aircraft’s world-class aircraft
and integrated training system and Leonardo
DRS to tie it all together. We’re proud to be the
only T-X team building a new U.S. tactical aircraft
manufacturing facility.

For years to come, the T-100 will bring high-tech

jobs in aircraft and training system production to
America. Making it the right choice not only for
our pilots, but for our country, today and in
the future.

service life on the front line fighters.

The aircraft is designed to meet the rigorous

training needs of the U.S. Air Force (USAF).
Building upon the proven technology and systems
of Leonardo’s M-346, the T-100 incorporates best-
in-class U.S. industry technology to provide USAF
with the capability it needs today to meet the
requirements of tomorrow.

EMBEDDED TACTICAL TRAINING
SIMULATION (ETTS)

A comprehensive in-flight ETTS suite is a key feature

of the T-100 and flight simulators and a core element
of the family of systems for advanced training.
ETTS enables the T-100 to offer the whole spectrum
of simulated training functions in flight and on the
ground and provides both students and instructors
with the following on-board simulations:

• A tactical scenario (digital map with threats

and targets)
• Presence of realistic Computer Generated Forces
(friend and foe)
• On-board sensors (such as multimode Fire Control
Radar, targeting pod and active/passive electronic
countermeasures)
• Weapons, including specific symbology and
delivery parameters
• Live, Virtual, Constructive capability to link aircraft
with flight simulators

ETTS functions can support Stand Alone (flying

a single-ship mission) or Multi-Ship networked
operations, with aircraft and simulators networked
via a dedicated Training Datalink to exchange
Tactical Scenario data with other participants.
T-100: MASTER IN TRAINING

Thanks to the excellent, proven in-service, advanced

Lead-In Fighter Trainer capabilities and high
performances, the T-100 aircraft can smoothly
enable student pilots to accomplish all their training
tasks in flight.

Amongst the characteristics which make the T-100

the safest aircraft for student pilots are:

• Carefree handling and throttle movements in the

whole flight envelope
• Four channel fly-by-wire flight control system
• Twin engine configuration
• Low wing loading providing more margin for error
• Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System
(Auto GCAS)
• Pilot Activated Recovery System (PARS)
• Unique engine design stall/surge resistant with
auto relight

Thanks to non-afterburning engines, its high training

endurance keeps costs down and is best tailored
to the training mission’s duration to deliberately
perform the required training syllabus objectives, in
a more effective and efficient way.
HIGH PERFORMING AIRCRAFT THE BEST SOLUTION FOR THE MOST
