automatically resolved. If you are installing the components
individually, you must install the Xerces-C component before
installing the Xalan-C component.

as described in Step 4.

Upgrading to the Latest Version of

HP-UX Internet Express OpenLDAP
HP-UX Internet Express A.15.00 does not allow you to directly upgrade from the
previous version of OpenLDAP to the new version of OpenLDAP. If you have a
previous version of HP-UX Internet Express OpenLDAP (prior to the A.06.00
version) installed on your system, you must manually uninstall it before installing
the latest version of OpenLDAP. The data storage for recent versions of
OpenLDAP (A.06.00-2.3.11.001 and later) is incompatible with previous
OpenLDAP versions.

To upgrade to the new version of OpenLDAP from a previous version, follow

these steps:

1. Unload the data from your current OpenLDAP environment using the
slapcat utility. This creates a set of .ldif files containing the unloaded
data.
2. Back up your current OpenLDAP environment including the .ldif files.
3. Remove OpenLDAP using the swremove command.
4. To install the latest version of HP-UX Internet Express OpenLDAP,

again.
After you log in, you can read the HP-UX Internet Express
OpenLDAP manpages.
NOTE: In HP-UX Internet Express A.15.00, OpenLDAP is included in
the web2 bundle.

5. Load data into the new OpenLDAP directory from the previously unloaded
.ldif files using the slapadd utility.
For more information on the slapcat and slapadd utilities, see the
OpenLDAP manpages.

Upgrading to the Latest Version of

HP-UX Internet Express MySQL
If you have a previous version of the HP-UX Internet Express MySQL component
(prior to the A.06.00 version) installed on your system, you must manually
uninstall it before installing the latest version of HP-UX Internet Express MySQL.

NOTE: For information on migrating to MySQL 5.0.67, see

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/upgrading-from-4-1.html

a. To create a dump of all the databases in the database directory, use
the mysqldump utility. For information on the mysqldump utility,
see the mysqldump (1) manpage.
b. Remove or relocate the database to a different directory. Remove
the /var/opt/iexpress/mysql database directory, even if it is not
used.

is displayed.
The HP-UX Internet Express MySQL bundle installation
starts. The swinstall utility loads HP-UX Internet Express
MySQL in approximately three to four minutes.
v. Select Done when the Status field displays Completed.
vi. Select File->Exit to exit the swinstall window.
c. To complete the installation, log out of your system and log in
again.
After you log in, you can read the HP-UX Internet Express MySQL
manpages.

NOTE: In HP-UX Internet Express A.15.00, MySQL is included in the

web2 bundle.

5. Initialize all your individual database directories using the

mysql_install_db script. The depot installation automatically creates a
default database directory in the /var/opt/iexpress/mysql directory. If
this is the only database directory that you need, do not execute the
mysql_install_db command again.
6. Restore each individual database directory using the mysql command. For
more information on restoring the database directory, see the MySQL
manpages.

Upgrading to the Latest Version of

HP-UX Internet Express PostgreSQL
If you have a previous version of HP-UX Internet Express PostgreSQL (prior to
the A.06.00 version) installed in your system, you must manually uninstall it
before installing the latest version of HP-UX Internet Express PostgreSQL.

NOTE: You do not need to manually migrate from HP-UX Internet Express
A.06.00 PostgreSQL (8.0.4) to HP-UX Internet Express A.15.00 PostgreSQL
(8.4.2.001).

To upgrade to the new version of PostgreSQL from a previous version of

PostgreSQL (previous to A.06.00), follow these steps:

1. Back up your PostgreSQL databases.

2. To migrate each database cluster, follow these steps:
a. Use the pg_dumpall utility to create a dump of all the databases in
the database cluster. For more information on creating database
dumps, see the pg_dumpall (1) manpage.
b. Remove or relocate the database to a different directory. Remove
the default database directory /var/opt/iexpress/postsql even
if it is not used.

Where:
<depot-name> specifies the bundle name or the component
name.

automatically creates a default database directory in the
/var/opt/iexpress/postgresql directory. If this is the only database
directory that you need, do not execute the initdb script again.

6. Restore each individual database directory using the psql command. For
more information on restoring the database directory, see the psql
