The main topic that we’ve discussed these past weeks is all about quadratic equations and its

methods. So before we start, what is quadratic equation? Quadratic Equation is any equation
having the form where x represents an unknown, and a, b, and c represent known numbers such
that a is not equal to 0. If a = 0, then the equation is linear, not quadratic. It is divided to methods of
solving Factoring, Completing the Square, Extracting the square root and Solving using quadratic
formula.

As what mentioned earlier there are methods in solving quadratic equations. The first method that
we are going to solve is Factoring. The first step in factoring is Transform the equation using
standard form (ax2 + bx + c = 0). Ex, {x2 +4x=32} next step is to factor the non-zero side {x2 +4x-
32=0} (x+8) (x+4) =0. Set each factor to zero {x+8=0 and x-4=0} transpose to the right side so it will
give you {x=-8 and x=4} the last step is to check if your answer is correct, to check your answer you
should substitute x with the given answer. ({-8}2+4(-8)-32=0) then it will give you (64+{-32}-32=0)
when you add 64 and -32 it will result to 32 so, 32-32 is 0.
