Sohail on the Digger

Asalamu Alaikum and Kia Ora Sohail. Over the last few weeks, I have noticed you
are using your curiosity and try to do new things and explore your world. Today,
you came to me while we were outside and said “Teacher! I want the digger please.
I said ok Shoail you will have your turn. You were so happy when it was your turn
on the digger. You were exploring how it functions. You looked so confident that
you could master it. You showed me that you could dig and control the handles
(right and left, up and down) Masha’Allah Sohail well done you are capable to do
it.
What learning happened?
Shoail is learnig pathway this term is Developing working theories about the world
around him as he explores)- confidence- ability to make decisions. Today, he
showed us how he is confident and how he master the challenge of controlling the
digger. He likes to explore the challenge and learn through do. He is learning to
develop his ability to make decisions and be confident.
How can we extend this learning?
Our teachers will support Sohail’s curiosity by offering him a choice of activities to
try himself or with other children.
