Students will be brainstorming, and work-
ing on a graphic organizer for their first
piece a Memoir. To prepare them, they
will sample characteristics of a memoir
through books and other medias. Students
will identify stories as either a memoir or
a personal narrative. In addition they
will be expected to use rich figurative
language in their writing piece. The piece
will probably be totally done in the class-
