1 Introduction
The Jet pumps are meant for transferring the fuel from one tank to other tank
at low pressure. Features of this Jet pump will be similar to Jet Pump Part no.
SP5250. Two jet pumps are installed in each Outer Wing Tank and one jet
pump is installed in each Auxiliary Wing Tank i.e. six jet pumps per aircraft.

2 Description
The jet pump is mounted on each wing tank (outer and auxiliary) for
transferring fuel to the feeder tank and this pump is driven by aircraft booster
pump. The pump comprises of a nozzle and a venturi housed in an inducer
body which is mounted in tank. Required nozzle inlet flow (motive flow) is fed
by tank booster pump at requisite pressure level. At the outlet of nozzle,
motive fuel pressure drops sufficiently to suck the tank fuel and the induced
flow mixes with the motive flow in the throat of the venturi. The total flow
passes through the diffuser and subsequently pressure rises and finally
discharged at outlet.
