California Scholarship Federation Qualifications

Based on previous semester’s grades and citizenship

A. To qualify for CSF membership this semester, you must follow these guidelines:

1. You must earn a minimum of 10 points from last semester’s grades.

a. The first 4 points must be from courses designated on LIST I
b. The first 7 points (including the four points described in “a”) must be from
LISTS I and II
c. Remaining minimum 3 points maybe from List III courses

Note: You do not need any classes from List II or III if you have enough qualifying
points from List I or List I and II.

2. You must use no more than 5 courses to qualify.

3. No CSF points are given for physical education, courses taken in lieu of physical
education, subjects repeated to improve a grade, courses involving clerking, and
office/teacher assisting, and courses taken on a pass/fail basis.

4. CSF points are granted as follows:

A 3
B 1
C 0
D or F in any course, even in one you cannot use to qualify, disqualifies you from
membership at this time.

FOR AP/HONORS: One additional point is granted for A or B in an AP, IB, or

Honors course BUT ONLY FOR 2 CLASSES!!!!!!!
(EXAMPLE: A=4 PTS, B=2PTS)

5. A “U” in citizenship disqualifies a student from membership. An “N” in citizenship may

disqualify him/her from membership.

B. When the form has been completed, return it to the Cashier’s Office with a copy of the
appropriate REPORT CARD and the dues of $5.00 so that the application may be verified.
PLEASE NO TRANSCRIPTS. TRANSCRIPTS DO NOT SHOW CITIZENSHIP
GRADES.

LAST DAY FOR APPLICATIONS IS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH AT 3:00 PM.

NO LATE APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED.
