essential nutrient that provides your body with energy when consumed carefully but

with high intakes of fat can increase your risk of having obesity. And also our goal is

for those people who have Celiac Disease or sensitivity to wheat and gluten to be able

to indulge pastries that uses flour.

The proponents would want to introduce “Red Rice Flour Pastries” in the market

because it envisions healthiness to our possible consumers.

Selling pastries that is made from Red rice is rare because it is not a common

product. It cannot be found in many stores here in Calamba; you can get it to far places

like provincial provinces that produce rice and wheat. As a newly built business, we

want to prove that it can surpass the market by giving the customers a good quality and

a good product for them.

Size of the Industry

The kind of business that the proponents wanted to establish belongs to a small-

scale business. Although the product utilizes less number of people and capital, the

proponent wants to prove that this would not be a problem or a disadvantage of the

product.

The researchers determined the population in the City of Calamba with its average

growth rate from the year 2017 and they gathered the formula for the computation from

the NSO at the municipality of the City of Calamba. This was used as a basic for the

2017 population for them to be able to compute for the five-year projection of

population of the proposed study.

Competition

Nowadays, there are a lot of bakeries here. This business on its own is highly

competitive because a lot of bakeries are now seen everywhere. Based on our survey

some bakeries already have breads that are incorporated with Malunggay (Moringa),

but there aren’t any bakeries who tried using red rice flour as an alternative to their

regular flour. Some also sell pastries such as cupcakes, cakes and various pastries, but

its flavors are usually common.

Usually some competitors offer a product that can only satisfy the appetite of

their customers. Unlike what the proponents offer, their product not only can satisfy the

cravings, but also meet their standards and it also contains nutritious ingredients. Their

product helps people who are fond of eating foods with high sugar intake especially

those people who are diabetic, to be able to eat cakes, cupcakes and breads without

worrying about their health.

The Product

The Red rice flour pastries offer a lot of benefits and satisfaction to our future

consumers. It is made from organic red rice that is made into finely grinded flour that

can be substituted to regular flour. We incorporated the Red Rice Flour onto pastries

such as: Cakes and cupcakes.

The Packaging

The packaging plays an important role on the product. We are promoting eco-

friendly packaging that’s why we are going to use cardboard boxes to lessen the use of

plastics and to help conserve our environment. We used a gold color to attract the

customer’s attention because most of the packaging that is used nowadays is bright red,

yellow with gold designs and plain white boxes.

The Price Study

We based our price from our survey questionnaires we gathered, our cupcake is for

Php 40.00 per piece and our whole bread ranges from Php 100.00 – Php 150.00, our

prices are worth the size and taste. Local bakeries price their breads from Php 15.00 to

Php 25.00. For the cupcakes they priced it from Php 25.00 to Php 30.00. For the cakes

they priced it for Php 50.00 per slice. But our product will be based on the economic

growth of prices on the minor and major ingredients of the products. Likewise, other

expenses will affect the price of the product.

There will also be a glass container that will be used as storage for the breads to

pastries as the customers take it out.

Product Description

The Red rice flour pastries are cakes, cupcakes and breads that are made of nutritious

flour. Instead of using regular flour, we used flour that is made from red rice because it

is healthier. We incorporated healthy flavors that will provide customers a new

variation of flavors to choose from. The proponents offer not only a healthier way of

enjoying sweets without sacrificing our health but also contributes additional nutrients

to our body. We also offer pastries that are healthier and affordable as compared to

other regular pastries.

projects. The proposed business will provide help to the community and our

countrymen.

Financial Aspect

The financial aspect is the most critical part in planning a business. The capital is

from the share of the partner that is worth P 1,850.000.

This will be used 5 years that will grow to get the profit of the business. This

includes the financial ratio, the liabilities and the balance sheet that is significant in the

financial aspect. This also includes the registration fees for the business organization,

utilities, salaries and wages and other production cost.

Management Aspect

The red rice flour pastries are a partnership form of business ownership, which will

handle the management of the business. There is a manager who is all over all in-

charge for the day to day operations of the business. There are cashiers to handle daily

money transactions. And there are also kitchen helpers/bakers to produce various

pastries. At the present, the business has a total of 6 employees and as the business

grows, new employees will be hired for the minor business operation. Through an

organized organizational structure, there will be a smooth operation of the business.

Socio-economic Aspect

The firm would be able to contribute to the government through taxes derived from

its sales. The consumer would benefit health wise from its organic ingredient than the

usual pastries that can be bought nowadays.
