This document provides instructions for a seatwork assignment in Physical Chemistry for Engineers 1 at the Adamson University Chemical Engineering Department. Students are asked to answer two problems using notes and resources by certain deadlines on September 11, 2017. The problems involve calculating the temperature at which a substance's vapor pressure is 66 kPa given data at 20 C, and calculating the enthalpy and entropy of fusion using data on a solid and liquid's molar volumes at different temperatures and pressures. Students must submit their work on yellow paper to the Chemical Engineering Student Assistant by the class-specific deadlines.

Using our notes and any library/ online resources, answer the following problems:
1) The vapor pressure of a substance at 20.00 C is 58.0 kPa and its enthalpy of vaporization is 28.7 kJ/mol. Estimate the temperature at which its vapor pressure is 66.0 kPa. 2) The molar volume of a certain solid is 142.0 cm3 mol−1 at 1.00 atm and 427.15 K, its melting temperature. The molar volume of the liquid at this temperature and pressure is 152.6 cm3 mol−1. At 1.2 MPa the melting temperature changes to 429.26 K. Calculate the enthalpy and entropy of fusion of the solid.
Guidelines:
1) Write your answers in YELLOW PAPER. Submit your work to the Chemical Engineering Student Assistant (Chemical Engineering Department). Make sure that the SA receives your work so as not to be marked LATE. Your submitted work will also serve as your attendance for the day.
2) DEADLINE:
