Dear Parents,

As we work in partnership with the Utah County Health Department we would like to
be proactive in communicating, through school channels, important information
impacting our communities. In this effort, we have attached an updated letter from
the health department addressing the health concern.

In order to help the health department gather accurate data about the number of
people experiencing symptoms, we request that you call to excuse your absent child
with one of the following reasons if they are absent on Friday, September 7th:

1. My child is experiencing gastrointestinal symptoms

2. My child is not experiencing these symptoms, but I am keeping them home as
a precaution.
3. My child is absent for other reasons (vacation, family event, other illness, etc.)

We respect your privacy. No personal information will be shared about your child. The
only information that will be submitted to the Utah County Health Department is the
total number of absences related to the gastrointestinal symptoms.

Because of this heightened community health concern, we appreciate your

cooperation in contacting the school with this information.

Thank you!

Samuel Y. Jarman, Superintendent
