Grade Breakdown

30% Midterm Exam

30% Final Exam
40% Recitation

Rules:

1. Every student is required to have his/her own notebook, which must contain
a handwritten digest not exceeding one page of every assigned case. Notebooks
will be checked at the start of the period. Failure to show case digests for the
assigned topic will mean one failing grade of 65 in recitation.

2. Recitation shall be conducted every class. No volunteers. No questions will

be entertained during class. Only the required notebook, the assigned book, and
a copy of the Civil Code will be allowed on a student’s desk every class.

3. In ascribing a grade to a student’s recitation, the following rules will be

followed: (i) every student will start with a grade of 75, thus, a correct answer to
the first question will immediately earn a 75, an incorrect one a 74; (ii) an incorrect
answer is a one-point deduction from and a correct answer a one-point addition
to the student’s grade; (iii) professor shall decide when to stop asking questions;
and (iv) a “pass” will automatically earn a 65.

4. Removal exams are prohibited by the school. Either you pass or you fail. No
motions for reconsideration will be entertained with respect to the grades for the
midterm exam, final exam, and recitation.

5. Students are expected to dress appropriately. No shorts. No slippers.

Business attire very much preferred and might earn additional credit that may be
useful in the final grade.

6. Attendance will be checked at the start of the first and second hours of the
class. The professor is very observant and will notice students who disappear
during class.
