FIELD ENGINEER

Tasks & Responsibilities


The overall purpose of the position is to support deployment and integration of our client’s solutions in the Field.

Some of your activities will be:


 Get knowledge and participate in Factory testing of the Systems to be deployed.
 Coordinate and participate in the deploying of the system on the Customer locations.
 Coordinate the activities of the 3rd parties in the field.
 Based in the scope of work, integrate, debug and test the equipment deployed.
 Participate in the Acceptance of the solution provided with the Customer.
 In addition those responsibilities, you may be required to conduct upgrades, changes or solve issues after
acceptance when needed
 You have to interact with Project Managers, System Engineers, Upgrade group, Customer Support team, 3 rd
parties and Customers then ability to team working is a must

Your Profile
 Degree in Telecommunication/Electronics Engineering
 Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the area of systems implementation or support of RF
communication systems like Cellular or PMR (including ancillaries like microwave or Fiber Optics, Power
Generators, NOCs, Antennae systems, etc)
 Customer focused, able to obtain their support when needed
 Capability and organizational talent and strength to implement decisions by taking different cultures and
needs into consideration
 Strong knowledge of RF tools and devices used in field deployment
 Able to deal with complex technical and non-technical situations in the field with limited support
 Team worker, able to collaborate with Field and System Engineers, Project Manager and 3 rd parties
contractors to get job done
 High degree of enthusiasm to work, self motivation and load bearing capacity
 Self learner, motivated to get latest technical updates
 Good knowledge to use modern PC software possibilities to effectively handle all business issues
 Able in conducting negotiations and good command of English language, verbally and in writing, African
languages are a plus
 Willingness to travel to conduct business, often in harsh environments
