Republic ofthe Philippines Department of Transportation and Communications LAND TRANSPORTATION FRANCHISING & REGULATORY BOARD East Avenve, Quazan Cy MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NUMBER 2017-606 SUBJECT : AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR No. 2012- 022 (Granting Provisional Authority for Trucks-For-Hire Z Transport Service) Due to the urgent public need and clamor of operators for Truck-For- Hire Services and after the Board’s evaluation and review of its existing policies on the issuance of Provisional Authority to Truck-For-Hire Transport Services, the Board hereby amends memorandum Circular No. 2012-022 (Granting Provisional Authority for trucks-For-Hire Service) particularly Condition No. 7 which shall now read as: “7. The Provisional Authority shall only be for a period of not more than THREE (3) MONTHS counting from the date the application was filed. Upon subsequent request by the applicant, an extension of Provisional Authority may be allowed only once but such extension shall not be more than another ‘THREE (3) MONTHS. Motion for further extension of Provisional Authority may only be granted on compelling reasons or for a good cause shown.” All other issuances or parts thereof inconsistent herewith are hereby modified, amended, or superseded accordingly. This Memorandum Circular shall take effect immediately following its publication in a newspaper of general circulation and the filing of three (3) copies hereof with the UP Law Center pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11, dated 09 October 1992.
