President's Report
GPB Education and Digital - Ms. Ryan explained that GPB's annual coverage of the Georgia
High School Football Championships was a tremendous success. As passed years, GPB was the
highest rated PBS station in the nation for the two days we covered the action in the Georgia
Dome.
GPB Radio - Ms. Ryan reminded everyone that 88.5 FM continues to grow legs in Atlanta- She
shared how pleased she is about GPB's Atlanta radio station's performance in the ratings. She
explained that last fall's radio pledge drive showed that after just two years on the air,
approximately one-third of our radio donations now come through 88.5 FM in Atlanta, The
expectations were a slow and steady growth for the station.
GPB TV - we continue stretch the creative boundaries while finding new and interesting ways
to highlight the state of Georgia. In that vein, we will launch a fantastic new television series
this month called Hometown Georgia. The show is a series of segments that profile different
towns throughout the state. I'll offer a short sneak peek at the series for you in the meeting. 1
think you will enjoy it, and I predict this new program will be very popular(GpB

Continued Education Success
We continue to make strides and cement our place as the preeminent provider of digital
education services around the state of Georgia. We have moved to full completion of our digital
history textbook, with a very impressive final addition. Several years ago, we envisioned the
book paired with a game teaching Georgia students the history of their home state. The final
Product of this effort is a wonderful game that follows a young girl named Savannah and her
dog Peaches as they travel the state looking for archeological clues.
Additionally, our video chemistry series, Chemistry Matters, is now available to all schools and
students in Georgia, and we are making good progress on the physics series that will serve as its
follow-up.
Ms. Liz Laprade gave the financial report.
With no further business, Ms. Paul announced the next scheduled meeting scheduled
Wednesday, Janaury __, 2018. The meeting was adjourned.
