2420 Pressure Reducing Pilot / N.O.

(High Pressure Type)

The Model 2420 is a two-way, normally open pilot that senses pressure under its diaphragm and balances it
against an adjustable spring load. An increase in pressure above the spring set point tends to make the pilot
close.

The Model 2420 is the standard pilot for OCV Series 127HP Pressure Reducing Valves. Sensing downstream
pressure and closing at the set point, modulates the main valve to maintain the required pressure.

There are other applications for the Model 2420 as a normally open, pressure to close control.

 Normally Open, increasing pressure closes

 200 - 750 psig spring range
 Can be local or remote sensed
 Simple adjustment
 All parts replaceable while mounted on valve
 Stainless steel construction
 Rubber to metal seat for positive shut-off

1330 Pressure Relief Pilot

The Model 1330 is a two-way, normally closed pilot, that senses pressure under its diaphragm and
balances it against an adjustable spring load. An increase in pressure above the spring set point, tends
to make the pilot open.

The Model 1330 is the standard pilot for OCV Series 108 Pressure Relief/ Sustaining Valves as well as
the Model 108FC Fire Pump Relief Valve. Sensing upstream pressure and opening at the set point,
modulates the main valve to maintain the required pressure.

There are other applications for the Model 1330 as a normally closed, pressure to open control.

balances it against an adjustable spring load. An increase in pressure above the spring set point tends
to make the pilot close.

The Model 1340 is the standard pilot for OCV Series 127 Pressure Reducing Valves. Here it senses
downstream pressure and modulates the main valve to maintain that pressure constant.
There are other applications for the Model 1340 as a normally open, pressure to close control.

SCHEMATIC SYMBOL
The Model 141-3 Flow Control Valve is shown on OCV Valve Schematics as:

EXAMPLE: Shown here on a MODEL 125 Pump Control Valve as separate

opening and closing speeds.

141-3 Flow Control Valve

The Model 141-3 Flow Control Valve is an adjustable restriction device,
installed in the control circuit tubing. The flow control valve differs from a
standard needle valve in that it includes an internal check valve. Thus it allows
free flow in one direction (through the check) and restricted flow in the other
direction (through the needle). The setting of the flow control valve meters the
flow into or out of the main valve diaphragm chamber, thus controlling either the
opening or closing speed of the main valve. These can be installed in series for
separate opening and closing speed control. Restricted flow is in the direction of
the flow arrow on the body.

141-2 Needle Valve

The Model 141-2 Needle Valve is an adjustable restriction device installed in
the control circuit tubing. The setting of the needle valve meters the flow into
and out of the main valve diaphragm chamber, thus controlling the response
speed of the main valve. Depending on the application, the needle valve may
be used as a closing speed control, opening speed control, or both
simultaneously.

Needle Valves shown sizes: 3/4" & 1/4"

and closing speed controls.

41-1 Check Valve

The Model 141-1 Check Valve uses a spring-loaded poppet that

will allow flow in one direction only. It is the primary component
used on valves with a reverse flow check function. Flow is in the
direction of the arrow on the check valve body.

126 Ejector

The Model 126 ejector is a simple tee fitting with a fixed
orifice in its inlet port. It provides the proper supply
pressure to the main valve diaphragm chamber,
allowing various two-way control pilots to control the
valve position.
