• As a result of the above, was a major contributor to the Lean Manufacturing Pilot Project. Provided
daily/weekly operating metrics. Project resulted in reducing monthly losses by 50%.
• Employed Excel, Access, and PowerPoint in completing projects and reports. Used MAS100 general system to
manage accounting activities.
• Major new skill obtained was participating in a Lean Manufacturing Project. I have since enhanced this skill
with Lean Accounting.

ALBION INDUSTRIES, Senior Cost Accountant, Newnan, GA, 1999 to 2001

• Recruited to assist controller and take charge of the cost module of the company's' new ERP system
(JDEdwards).Also to establish new cost rates for each work center for 2 plants.

costs.
• Completed and presented to Senior Management with wide-ranging reports specifying and comparing factors
affecting work center rates, and productivity of over than 50 different work centers in 2 Plants. Applied
knowledge of Activity Based Costing to determine rates. Management used this information in their pricing
decisions of items.
• Directed a cross functional team of 3 to analyze and review entries created by system for previous 6 month
period. Project determined that the original set-up of ERP system was done incorrectly resulting in 100K
inventory variance. Items were updated to corrected errors.
• New skill attained was managing the controlling or cost module for the company. I later used this at Augusta
Sportswear.
• Utilized Excel and Access in completing projects and reports. Used the cost module of JDEdwards.
