This document provides an example configuration of HSRP (Hot Standby Router Protocol) on two routers to provide redundant default gateways. Router0 and Router1 are configured with HSRP on their GigabitEthernet0/0 and GigabitEthernet0/1 interfaces using a virtual IP address of 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.2.1 respectively. Router0 is set as the active router with a higher priority of 120 on each interface. The key IOS commands for configuring HSRP are also listed.
