(A) Problem Statement

Nowadays , if we observe our surrounding properly , there has been

an increase in amount of waste in our country and now we have a
problem managing the waste. According to The World Bank (2013) “In
the earlier report, they warned that global solid waste generation was
on pace to increase 70 percent by 2025, rising from more than 3.5
million tonnes per day in 2010 to more than 6 million tonnes per day by
2025. The waste from cities alone is already enough to fill a line of trash
trucks 5,000 kilometers long every day. The global cost of dealing with
all that trash is rising too: from $205 billion a year in 2010 to $375 billion
by 2025” . However , if we can think creatively and innovatively , we can
create amazing things that can make our life easier. Sadly, people just
keep throwing away all of their waste without considering how it could
be made of use in the future. Especially teenagers in this generation,
who have been living with modern inventions since they were born.
Because of that , they are heavily dependent on money whenever they
need something. There are no longer art, crafts and creativity in the
mind of teenagers. Of course this doesn’t apply to all of them.
This program brings wonders. By joining this program, we
are exposed to the importance of waste materials and learn the
usefulness of waste materials by creating and innovating the most
amazing things and at the same time , saving our money doing so. We
come up with the Eco Vacuum Cleaner that was created mostly out of
waste. Why did we choose this item? Well, the Vacuum Cleaner was
invented in 1680 and as we know now there are a lot of varieties
available. In this millennia, vacuum cleaner has been a necessity in each
household and that is exactly why we have decided to produce this item.

(B) Objectives

Since the common vacuum cleaner in the market could not handle the
dusts that are either in the corner or small items due to its size, so the
main purpose of our project is ;

- We made our vacuum at a suitable size in order to overcome this

problem.
- Create a device that is handy and could make housework more
easier.
- Effortless and less costly.
- We would also like to ensure the safety of our environment by
using recycled items.
- Application of environmental friendly objects

FRONT

1. Cut the 1.5L bottle into two parts using a scissors.

2. Alter the plastic hose into a suitable length

3. Inserting the plastic hose into
4. Suit the plastic hose with the foam tape
BACK

1. Poke multiple holes at the bottom of the bottle using a soldering iron

2. Make sure the quantity of holes made earlier allow the wind to pass
through without any difficult.

3. Stick the DC Motor at the bottle cap using hot glue gun and stick it at
the bottom of the bottle
FILTER PART

1. Cut the iron wire into 40 cm

2. Shape it into a circle according the circumference of the body

3. Twist the excess wire into a holder for the filter
4. Cut the skin sock

5. Stick the skin sock to the iron wire using hot glue gun
6. Get rid of the useless part
PROPELLER PART

1. Cut the deodorant spray bottle with a jig saw.

2. Flatten the deodorant spray bottle and cut the sides symmetrically
and into a propeller.
3. Draw a circle using circumference of the body’s bottle
4. Draw a smaller circle at the middle
5. Trace the propeller dividing it into 8 equal parts

6. Cut according to the trace made

7. Twist the blade a little bit

8. Cut the edges for each part

9. Poke the the middle of the propeller in order to insert the DC Motor
10. Stick the propeller to the DC Motor using hot glue gun
11. Connect the wires between the DC Motor & power source
12. Set up the circuit and tested out the Propeller

(D) Impact Of The Project

- Reduce the usage of electricity

- Make sure the user does not have to go through much difficulty in
using the product
- Prove that recycled items are very useful in effective ways
- Not time wasting
