Change Work Breakdown Structure CJ023

Purpose
Use this procedure to display a project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Project
Definition.

Menu Path
Use the following menu path to begin this transaction:

 Select Logistics  Project System  Project  Special Maintenance Function 


Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)  Display to go to the Display Project: Initial Screen.

Procedure

1. Start the transaction using the menu path Logistics  Project System  Project  Special
Maintenance Function  Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)  Display or transaction
code CJ03.

Display Project: Initial Screen

P000040

2. Complete ONE of the above fields to open: i) a Project definition; ii) a WBS Element.

Field Name Description

Project def. Project number and title; framework of data that is binding to
the entire project

Complete this field to open the entire project,


including the WBS to be changed.
Example: P000084
WBS element Element in the hierarchical work breakdown structure

Complete this field to open only the lowest-level WBS


element to be changed.
Example: P000084.1.0008.10.10

Display Project: Project definition (Basic data)

4. Display the following fields:

Field Name Description

Respons.person Person or organization responsible for execution of the project


and related activities, usually the project engineering leader

Applicant no. Number assigned to the applicant; person responsible for the
results of the project, usually the project team leader
Example: 12 – Heffelfinger, Bob
Start date Commencement date of activity or business event

This should be the project start date.

Finish date Completion date of activity or business event

This should be the project end date.

Field Name Description

Company code Independent accounting unit (and in most cases, a legal


entity) for which you can prepare a balance sheet and income
statement; using multiple codes, the accounts of independent
companies can be set up and managed simultaneously

Plant Organizational unit that subdivides an enterprise according to


manufacturing processes (such as production, procurement,
maintenance, and materials planning) and that defines where
materials are produced or where goods and services are
provided

Profit center Area of responsibility within a company for which an


independent operating profit can be calculated

Bsc Fin Date when work is to be completed

Display Project: WBS Element Overview (Responsibilities)

15. View the following fields:

Field Name Description

Respons.person Person or organization responsible for execution of the project


and related activities, usually the project engineering leader
Applicant no. Personnel number of the person applying for the project

Responsible persons assigned to WBS elements may not be the same persons
assigned in the project definition. The responsible person in the project definition and
at the WBS level 1 is usually the project engineering leader. The responsible person
for any lower-level WBS element is usually the engineering specialist leader for the
related engineering discipline in the project.
