1. Fill in the gaps using either the Present Perfect or the Simple Past (one verb is in the Past
Perfect).

Complete the email with Past Simple or Present Perfect.

Dear Mum and Dad,

Sorry I __have written_ (write) in a while, but things are crazy here. I can’t believe it _was__ (be) three

months ago that I left and that we _did not see__ (not see) each other fot that long.

This trip __was__ (be) fantastic so far, at least until a few days ago, when things __took__ (take) a turn for
