Sub: Payment of semester fees for July 2010 Session - Reg.

The Semester fees for July 2010 session will be collected from the existing research
scholars during July 1 – 7, 2010 (except on 04.07.2010, Sunday) between 10.30 A.M and
5.30 P.M as scheduled below. The research scholars attached with the Regional centre should
remit their fees in their respective Regional centre. The D.D. should be drawn in favour of “The
Director (Research), Anna University Chennai” payable at Chennai obtained from any
Nationalized Bank dated on or after 16.06.2010. The Registration number and name of the
research scholar should invariably be written at the back side of the D.D. Fees payment will be
accepted only with the Half-Yearly Progress Report for the semester
January - June 2010 duly signed by the supervisor and HoD of the Supervisor.

IMPORTANT DATES:

4. If fees are not paid on or before 30.07.2010, registration of the scholars will be
cancelled without any further notice.

Note: The Regional Centre will collect the fees till 21.07.2010 with fine.

30.06.2010 will be accepted only against the payment of semester fees for July 2010 session.

CIRCULAR

The supervisors are requested to send the DC/MC minutes for extension of time for
those scholars who are completing the maximum period of 6 years in the case of Ph.D. and
4 years in the case of M.S. (By Research) as on June 2010. Those scholars (Ph.D. and M.S.)
who have already obtained extension of time till June 2010 for submission of Thesis shall
also apply for further extension, if necessary, with the specific reasons for recommendation
of the DC/MC members. However, such Extension of time is permissible only up to 2 years
(six months at a time) for Ph.D. programme and 1 Year (six months at a time) in the case of
M.S. (By Research) programme beyond the completion of normal maximum period.

The DC/MC shall recommend for extension with specific reasons and duly signed by
all DC/MC members including HoD of the supervisor. The last date for submission of such
minutes of DC/MC to the Centre for Research is 18.06.2010. Otherwise the scholars will
not be permitted to pay the fees for July 2010 session and the registration of such scholars
shall be cancelled and the name will be removed from the rolls without any further
notice.
