My name is Robers Armand and I believe in changing the world.

I have spent nearly a decade in the Finance and Accounting fields where I learned to solve
complex problems. But since I was a teenager I have been involved in creating social change.

I have participated in and taught social justice workshops since high school. I am currently
working with a group in my community called the Goree House, where I’ve organized an Intro to
Coding Course for underserved communities called Tech Hustlers , and mentoring at risk youth
to become future leaders at my former elementary school.

But more than speaking about the problems that maintain the status quo, I want to BUILD the
solutions to make the world of tomorrow a better place. I discovered the incredible power of the
innovation economy and startup business culture to change the world, which brought me to SI.

At Startup Institute in the Web Dev track, I have learned how to build apps in Ruby on Rails,
JavaScript and CSS and am on my way to becoming a Full Stack Developer. I am eager to find
an mid sized organization with a vision and an open culture conducive to cultivating its team
members and solving real problems.
