Lifting capacity charts acc.

to EN 13000 ( DIN / ISO ) Remarks

When determining the permissible wind speeds, a wind surface of

Aper = 1.0 m² per t lifting capacity was used for the load as well as a
wind resistance coefficient of cW = 1.2. If the actual wind surface AL
and/or the resistance coefficient c W are greater, then operation of the
crane is only permissible up to a correspondingly lower wind speed vred .

If an exact value for the wind resistance coefficient cW is not available,

then c W = 2.4 must be used for calculations. Exact values can be taken
from relevant standards (e.g. ISO 4302) or books of tables.

The following formula is used to determine the reduced wind speed vred :

fo! V red = V per *

y fo
nl • actual hook load in accordance with the load capacity chart tables

e o P = 16 t
Us • permissible wind speed according to the load capacity chart tables
vper = 9 m/s

• actual wind surface of the load AL = 20 m²

(e.g. a concrete component 2 m high and 10 m long)

• actual wind resistance coefficient of the load cW = 1.3

(for c values see, for example, ISO 4302 page 4)

The following values thus result:

• permissible wind surface

Aper = 16 t * 1.0 m²/t = 16 m²

• reduced wind speed

1.2 * 16 m²
V red = 9 m/s * = 7.7 m/s
1.3 * 20 m²
