Adjectives

Quantity and Comparison


Formative Assessment

Students will pick an adjective word that can be changed to a comparative


adjective and a superlative adjective. They will then create a poster that
demonstrates their understanding of the adjective, the comparative adjective
and the superlative adjective. Students must draw images of the adjectives to
demonstrate their understanding.

Learning Intention: To demonstrate understanding of adjectives

Task: To create an accordion demonstrating an adjective, a comparative


adjective and a superlative adjective using images.

Success Criteria: I have used a word that is an adjective, comparative adjective,


and a superlative adjective. I can demonstrate these adjectives with drawings
that are colourful and creative. I can use my art techniques to make my
accordion neat and presentable.

Examples:
1. Big, Bigger, Biggest 9. High
2. Sweet 10. Little
3. Young 11. Deep
4. Fancy 12. Loud
5. Chubby 13. Hot
6. Rich 14. Warm
7. Calm 15. Fluffy
8. Lazy 16. Cool
