 It is a deep search metal detector for the inspection of wide areas.

Application of the equipment is ideally suited to areas that are open, flat
and expansive.
 It operates with the pulse induction principle. It is supplied with a large loop
search coil of 2,6m which can be fitted to a PVC support frame allowing 3
different configurations.
Three different configurations
1) 1mX1m
2) 1mX2m
3) 1.5mX2.5m
The construction and configurations will depend on:
a) size of UXO
b) ambient electromagnetic interference
c) natural obstruction
Detection: it detects objects which are
1)ferrous
2)non-ferrous
3)alloys
-It is not intended or suitable for the detection of minimum amounts of metal
even if buried close to the surface.
-the LLMD is said to detect grenade up to 0.6m depth and large ordinance such
as a small bomb up to depth of 3.5m.This is assuming that the objects have good
conductivity
