Re: Resignation
would like to first thank you for the opportunity to serve the residents of Bexar County. To proudly
stand by each and every member of the Bexar County Sheriff's Office has yielded countless moments
of pride and honor.
Ttgoes without saying that l am very proud of the work that the members of the Bexar County Sheriff's
Office - Adult Detention Bureau have accomplished and of the programs that we have worked
diligently hard to set up (Detention Mental Health Evaluation Team and Contraband Abatement Team)
along with other safety protocols.
During the course of my career with the United States Marshals Service and now the Bexar County
Sheriff's Office I have now worked both indirectly and directly with some of the finest. The Deputies
of the Detention Bureau are a proud, diversified and committed group. Given the difficult and varied
challenges faced each and every day they have stayed the course. Their worth is not measured in
dollars and cents but rather their commitment to serve the citizens of our community. This is truly
honorable.
I will always stand by my comments that the Deputies assigned to the Detention Bureau work
extremely hard each and every day and it is incumbent upon the administration to provide them with
the best equipment and tools necessary to do the their job effectively and safely to keep our community
safe. Iam hopeful that these measures will continue. :
In short, other opportunities have. presented themselves. Please accept my resignation effective
