Primavera P6 Professional R8.

1 Installation

• Insert CD Primavera P6 Professional Data base

• Open P6_R81_Client Application Folder
• Open OracleXE - installe OracleXEUniv

Click Next

Select the Accept the tems in the license agreement option & Click next

Click Next

Enter password: Prim123Vera & Click Next

Click Install

Uncheck the Launch the Database home page option & Click Finish

Run the P6 setup file from P6_R8-Client Application folder

Click next

 Select Standalone

Put the password: Prima123Vera

Click Next

Click Install

 Finish

Restart the PC

Database Configuration
Now Open P6_R81_Client_Application folder , Database folder & Run the dbsetup

Click Next

Enter the Password: Prima123Vera & SID: XE

Click Next

Create new folder as shown below for Oracle Table space

Change the table space location to D drive as shown above snaps

 Click next

Put the password as same as username

Administrative password: admin

Click Next

 Click finish

Launch the Primavera P6 R8

 Select PMDB and Configure

Select Drive type Oracle & click Nnext

 Put Oracle Connecting String: XE

Enter Username: privuser & password: privuser

Click Finish
