Conversion of Lands:

 After the lapse of five years from its award , when the land ceases to be economically feasible and sound for
agricultural purposes , or the locality has become urbanize and the land will have a greater economic value for
residential, commercial, or industrial purposes , the DAR , may authorize the reclassification or conversion of the
land in its disposition.
 Failure to implement the conversion plan within 5 years and shall cause the land to automatically be recovered
by CARP.

Additional prohibited acts:

 The ownership or possession in excess of the total retention limit or award ceilings by any person
 Forcible entry or illegal detainer by persons who are not qualified beneficiaries.
 Any conversion by , any land owner of agricultural land into any non agricultural use
 Malicious and will fall prevention or obstruction of the implementation of the CARP
 No person shall import or export any fish or products without first securing a permit therefore and paying the
inspection and other fees

The exportation of fry, it deserve bangus fry shall be allowed only after requirements of the domestic fishing industry
are met.

Disposition of public lands for fishpond: No public land suitable for fish pond purposes show be disposed by sale.

Lease for fish ponds:

 Period: 25 years, renew 25 years

 50% of area leased shall be developed and be producing within 3 years, and remaining within 5 years
 All areas not fully developed within 5 years shall automatically revert to public dominion.
 A lessee who failed to develop shall not be permitted to re-apply for lease.
 No portion od the lease shall be sub-leased.

Size for Fishponds:

 Individual – 50 hectares
 Associations and Corporations – 500 hectares

License to operate fishpens

 No person shall construct/operate without first securing a license

 Period: 5 years, renew 5 years
 Size: Individual – 10 hec; Assoc & Corp – 50 hec
