PHILOSOPHY
at The Wishing Chair

Founded in 2012, The Wishing Chair is a lifestyle retail brand in the home
accessories, decor and gifting space. With a strong creative and feminine
aesthetic, we seek to connect with our customers on a personal and poi-
gnant level, imparting a sense of wonder and happy nostalgia – an amalgam
of childhood memories and adult ingenuity.

At The Wishing Chair, we try to make things that delight your soul – thought-
ful and detail-oriented design at reasonable prices, available both online
and offline. It’s the small things in life that generally inspire joy, and it is
that wonder which we choose to use when we design our products. Quirky,
playful and splendiferous – our products are carefully designed and curated
to speak the language of magic, whimsy, playfulness, dreamlike incredulity
and feminine charm. Avneet Mann

Wishing Chair doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Profits are import-

“Well that’s already in the works. We are expanding our

manage and control our supply management, inventory
tracking, purchasing and financials. We’re of the firm belief
that once your operations are strong everything else falls
into place. Then you can scale – without quality loss. There
is a certain sense of responsibility we owe to our team

• Here are a few tips to ensure your candles burn properly.
• Trim your wick before the first burn and always keep it trimmed to 1/4”
• Always allow your candle to completely liquefy across the top before blowing it out to avoid ‘tunneling’.
Wherever it stops burning the first time, it will continue to stop there every time you burn it causing it to
tunnel if it has not liquefied all the way across.
• Try to burn candles for no more than 3 to 4 hours at a time – this will increase the total burn time.
• An uneven burn could be from a draft, so rotate the candle 90 degrees every now and then to keep the burn
uniform.
• A good way to extinguish a candle and prevent black soot is to push the wick into the warm wax pool. Use
a paper clip or other object and return the wick to a standing position immediately. It prevents smoke from
coming off the wick!
• Discontinue burning your candle when about ½” of wax remains. It’s ok to have a little wax leftover so that
you don’t expose the bottom of the wick.
• Candles with large diameters should be burned for no longer
than a couple of hours at a time. This will help keep the sides
