• Nobody loves playing around with
colour as much as the elves at The
Wishing Chair. And this year, we’re
giving the gift of oh-so-many mem-
orable Christmases past! Remem-
ber those days when gift-giving
was a labour of love? Pressing
flowers into cards for loved ones,
or gift wrapping thoughtful little
giveaways – a precious photograph
that you had framed perhaps, or
a box of cookies you baked from
scratch – in homemade sheets?
There’s all kinds of ways and we’re
sure you’ve attempted them all
too, but one our favourite times
was when we discovered marbling.
So elegant, so simple, each pattern
and swirl as unique as the snow-
flakes we all long for – rather fitting
for December we think.

• Here are a few tips to ensure your candles burn properly.
• Trim your wick before the first burn and always keep it trimmed to 1/4”
• Always allow your candle to completely liquefy across the top before blowing it out to avoid ‘tunneling’.
Wherever it stops burning the first time, it will continue to stop there every time you burn it causing it to
tunnel if it has not liquefied all the way across.
• Try to burn candles for no more than 3 to 4 hours at a time – this will increase the total burn time.
• An uneven burn could be from a draft, so rotate the candle 90 degrees every now and then to keep the burn
uniform.
• A good way to extinguish a candle and prevent black soot is to push the wick into the warm wax pool. Use
a paper clip or other object and return the wick to a standing position immediately. It prevents smoke from
coming off the wick!
• Discontinue burning your candle when about ½” of wax remains. It’s ok to have a little wax leftover so that
you don’t expose the bottom of the wick.
• Candles with large diameters should be burned for no longer
than a couple of hours at a time. This will help keep the sides

The photographs got rejected on the basis of the sole factor that it didnt show the purpose of the product and the right usability according to my mentor,
also the lighting and the frame were off. These shots were taken by me during the 1st week of my internship so I had some major adaptibily to do as i had to
switch my design sense according to the company.
Later on i started enjoying this job and got a hang of how things were to be done.

To make the sticker for a candle as a part of

A freshly made candle arrived at the design studio, My responsibility was to study the product, very
carefully and creatively come up with a pleasing packaging. The product has a very welcoming smell
and thus gave me an idea to illustrate minimal floral pattern as the sticker and also create a bottom
instruction sticker for the product.
