1. Scope
This document describes the requirements for submitting drawings and related documents by the successful bidder
for pressure vessel and columns.

2. References
Reference is made in this standard to the following document. The latest issue, amendments, and supplements to this
document shall apply unless otherwise indicated.

3. Requirements
3.1 All nonmaterial requirements shall be as stated on Appendix A.
3.2 The applicable Item Reference as per Appendix A shall be shown on each document.
3.3 All final prints or transparencies shall be suitable for microfilming. Sepias or blue lines are not acceptable.
3.4 All drawings, manuals, and documents shall be written in English language.

4. Preliminary Drawings for Review and Approval by SABIC

In the event a Purchase Order is awarded, SABIC approval of these drawings shall be required prior to fabrication of
the units.

5. Certified Drawings, Literature, Photographs, and Parts Data

All prints or transparencies of final drawings shall be marked or certified to indicate that:
(i) the drawings are final and all dimensions and material specifications are according to the material or
equipment being supplied by the vendor.
(ii) no further changes shall be made either by the vendor or SABIC.
(iii) all revisions requested previously by SABIC are included.

6. Operations, Maintenance Manuals, Installation Instructions, and Test Certificates

6.1 All drawings, documents, manuals, lists or other literature shall be clearly marked with SABIC Purchase Order
number and item number, and the manufacturer’s serial numbers pertaining to the material or equipment being
supplied.
6.2 Shops or maintenance manuals shall include the following:
(i) Dimensions of mating surface
(ii) Tolerances to dimensions
(iii) Clearance between moving surfaces
(iv) Instructions for maintenance, disassembly, repair, overhaul and assembly
(v) System of trouble detection and remedy.
6.3 Priority codes as follows shall be required immediately after the receipt of:
1. Requisition/Purchase Order.
2. SABIC comments on preliminary drawings and specifications, catalog information, detailed drawings of
sub-vendors, and parts data.
3. Nonmaterial requirements covered by Item Reference B and after final inspection and testing.
