Why education matters scholarship

What would you say to someone who thinks education doesn't matter, or that college is a waste of
time and money? (250 words or less)
A College degree allows a person to be able to increase their social status. When, applying for a job,
it is reasonable to say that a company prefers to hire someone that has a higher education, therefore
college will put you at an advantage, when searching for a job. Moreover, you will make more money the
higher the degree you have. Overall, a college degree can give you a better quality of life.
On the other end of the spectrum, there’s more to college than just going for a better future. For
example, you can meet a lot of new people at college, even your future spouse. Secondly, you get to enjoy
college experiences such as football games. College will also mature you and prepare you into becoming
an adult because you have little responsibilities such as; paying for your haircut, washing your own clothes,
managing your time.
With all this in mind, a college degree has many perks and benefits. Yes, the road to success is not
easy and will be challenging at times, however there are many on campus resource that will aid you on
your journey and that are available for you to use. There are on campus counselors you can talk to when
your stressed out as well as tutoring centers.
