Schöck Isokorb®
The Schöck Isokorb® with HTE module and an insulating element thickness of 80 mm offers excellent thermal insulation, documented
safety and economic efficiency. It provides good protection against thermal bridges for cantilevered construction elements and significantly
reduces the risk of construction damage and mould formation.
The secret lies in the pressure bearing – the HTE module. Apart from the building physics and structural benefits, the pressure bearing
pad provides real advantages for installation. This is because the Isokorb® with HTE module has no projecting pressure bearing pad which
could interfere while fitting it in the reinforcement. It is therefore very easy to install and enables ideal handling on site.

Schöck Isokorb® For steel construction
Penetrating structural members, such as cantilever canopies or crossbars in frame systems have now become a popular construction
principle in modern steel high-rise construction. However, the good thermal conductivity of steel can lead to disastrous side effects
without a thermal break: the formation of thermal bridges and consequent loss of expensive heating energy.
Free cantilever steel structures involve a further serious risk: the inside surface temperature drops significantly due to the increased
outward flow of heat in non-insulated steel members. This can mean that the minimum requirements for preventing damp are not
complied with even when the outside temperature is only -5 °C. The consequences are structural damage such as condensation formation,
mould growth and corrosion.
The RWTH Aachen University in Germany carried out detailed research comparing various application examples for preventing thermal
bridges in steel construction. The results are clear: none of the current solutions met the statutory requirements for thermal protection and
energy conservation with one exception - the Schöck Isokorb® KST. The Schöck Isokorb® type KST was the only thermal break element for
steel construction to meet all the guidelines, thus providing 100% safety for planning, minimising energy costs and preventing structural
damage.
type KST
Isokorb®
The Schöck Isokorb® type KST is available in two load ranges (KST16, KST22). The insulation material thickness is 80 mm. The essential
steel component for transferring the forces in the Isokorb® consists of stainless steel (l = 15 W/m · K). This reduces thermal conductivity to
a minimum.

Schöck Isokorb® type KST: The thermal insulation element for connecting free cantilevered steel components to steel structures.
Consisting of a KST-ZST module and a KST-QST module. The element is for the transfer of bending moments and shear forces and consists
of non-rusting steel with an integrated insulation layer. The steel structures to be joined are supplied fully pre-cast by the steel fabricator.
Due to the high level of prefabrication at the steel construction works, the installation time for the steel structures on the construction site
is considerably reduced. The element is joined by simple screwed connections.
Schöck Isokorb® type KST-QST module: The thermally insulated element for connecting supported steel components to steel structures.
The element is for the transfer of shear forces and normal forces and consists of non-rusting steel with an integrated insulation layer.
Moments can also be absorbed when using several elements which in combination form an inner lever arm. The steel structures to
be joined are supplied fully pre-cast by the steel fabricator. Due to the high level of prefabrication at the steel construction works,
the installation time for the steel structures on the construction site is considerably reduced. The element is joined by simple screwed

Schöck Novomur®
Non-insulated foundations create a significant thermal bridge effect. Effective insulation is essential in order to avoid the effects associated
with this, such as the risk of mould and increased thermal losses. Schöck Novomur® and Schöck Novomur® light display a high level
of thermal insulation combined with high load-bearing capacity. Added to this is the water-repellent property of the elements which
guarantees that practically no moisture can penetrate the thermal insulation elements and the wall base, even during the shell phase
when dampness can be a problem. Altogether this results in very efficient insulation of the thermal bridge in the foundations. Due to the
water-repellent property, a high level of thermal insulation is present from the start – the elements do not need to dry out for years on
end in order to attain the intended level of thermal insulation.
In terms of load-bearing capacity, Schöck Novomur® is designed for use in apartment buildings. Schöck Novomur® light is the ideal
insulation element for single-family houses.

Tranquillity is a basic need. In an age of rush and noise in particular, people increasingly long for quiet and relaxation. That is why sound
proofing within buildings is no luxury, but more of an urgent necessity. Planners should pay greater attention to this especially when it
comes to staircases in apartment blocks. Because noisy stairs are a frequent or even daily area of conflict. And legal disputes in particular
convey a clear message.

Schöck Bole®
The Schöck Bole® punching shear reinforcement approved by the German Institute for Construction Technology (DIBt) is inserted at a
specific time depending on the type when positioning the slab reinforcement.
The Bole® type Standard is installed from above after positioning the lower layer of slab reinforcement. The movable support frames with
spacers enable easy insertion of the lower reinforcement down to the formwork base. The product is supplied ready to install. No extra
parts are needed for installation ensuring a high degree of reliability. This type is suited for installation on site.
The Bole® type O is installed after positioning the upper layer of slab reinforcement and is therefore also suited for easy and quick
installation on site.
The Bole® type U is installed before positioning the lower reinforcement layer. Supplied with spacers loose. This Bole® type is suitable both
for application on site and in the prefabricating plant.
The Bole® type F has been specially developed for application in the prefabricating plant and fits perfectly in the production process.
The Bole® type K is used for foundation slabs. It is installed by lowering the guide onto the lower reinforcement layer.

Schöck ComBAR®
In highly abrasive environments such as bridge end beams, multi-storey car parks, industrial floors and industrial plants as well as construction
components affected by sea water, significant damage due to corrosion occurs when using reinforcing steel.
In such cases, the innovative Schöck ComBAR® reinforcing bar can be a cost-effective long-term alternative to reinforcing steel (in construction
components with crack-bridging coating) or stainless steel. This high-strength material made from glass fibre reinforced polymer is extremely
durable, linearly elastic up to failure, does not conduct electricity or heat and is also easy to machine.
Schöck ComBAR® handles like conventional reinforcing steel for the purposes of design and ordering as well as on site.

Schöck ComBAR® Thermoanker
The use of steel has been tried and tested in concrete reinforcement for decades. But there are still applications where alternatives are
needed. This is where Schöck ComBAR® comes in. Schöck ComBAR® is a reinforcing bar made from GRP and presents unique benefits
in comparison with steel. Schöck ComBAR® is non-corroding, chemical resistant and easy to cut and has an extremely low thermal
conductivity.
The Schöck ComBAR® cavity wall anchor provides prefabricating plants and architects with a construction material which is a cost-effective
thermal bridge-free alternative to conventional anchoring solutions for insulated double and sandwich walls.
