The kinesthetic worship service is a worship service where the worship leader tries to

involved the Christians by “doing” or “movement”. The goal of this kind of service is to get the

attention of all the senses as much as possible. It is common to have two different moments or

parts on a kinesthetic worship service: the first part is a “free-flowing praise”, and the second part

that is an “encounter.” Although it is possible to observe subdivision in each part, these two are

the main ones.

In this specific worship service, the main focus was praising Jesus and the importance of

praising Him. The first song that opened the service was Come, Now is the Time to Worship. This

song is an invitation to come and worship in the House of the Lord.

After the first song was presented a short video of about 5 minutes. The worship leader

presented a prelude to the video as a preparation for it. In the video is presented different people

group of Christians worshiping in their own language and their own tradition. Once the video is

finished, the worship leader presents a short postlude to the video that was used as a way to engage

the congregation into praise. This engagement is a high-energy song about being in the presence

of God. The performed song was I can only imagine.

Right after the engagement came the exaltation. The exaltation songs have the purpose to

give high praise. The song used for this purpose was Everlasting God. After this time its performed

an adoration song. In the adoration time the leader tries to make the people more reflective using

a song that have a clear vertical worship lyric. The song played for this time was Cornerstone.

Next is presented a song that leads the congregation to a closer intimacy with God. The song

elected for in this time was I Exalt Thee.

The last section of part one is the close out. The close out will bring more energy to the

congregation in order to transition into the preaching of the Word. The song chosen for the close

out is That’s What We Came Here For. This song will serve as an introduction to the second part

of the worship service.

After the songs the pastor came up to the pulpit for the preaching of the Word, and response

to the Word. For this Sunday the message chosen title was “A Passion for Praising.” All the flow

of the service, the video and the songs have the purpose to lead the congregation to prepare them

for the sermon and get involved in the importance of praising God.

After the preaching of the Word the invitation was gave to the congregation as way

to commit themselves, before of the Lord, to praise the Lord as he requires as a response to the

exposition of the Word. As the invitation was giving, the worship leader played the song Only
Trust Him to encourage those who have not response to the invitation yet or to recommit

themselves to the Lord. Right after the invitation time, the congregation was lead to the offering

time. During the offering time the band played the song All I have Is Yours.

To end the service and dismiss the congregation the worship leader come to the pulpit again

to have a closing song. The song performed was We Want to See Jesus Lifted High. Since the

theme of the preaching of the Word was praise, this specific closing song had the purpose to make

the congregation leave the service concentrated on the main theme of the whole service.
