RIGGING SAFETY

 Prior to start lifting; assess the weight of the load to be lifted.

 Inspect the lifting appliances & tackles for their good condition.

 Make sure that the load or equipment is completely from all the connections.

 Ensure the safe working load of the lifting appliances / tackles and do not
overload.

 Do not allow people to go beneath any suspended load

 Do not stand in the path of a swinging or moving load.

 Only one person should give signal to crane operator.

 Do not anchor or suspend loads on any process lines.

 Barricade the area of lifting.

 Vehicle empty permit is a must for all kind of vehicle entry in to a unit or tank
farm.

 When the wind speed is more then 25 km/hr, do not operate the crane to take
people to higher elevation.
