To Whomsoever It May Concern,

No. 104 / YKAKI/ Aug / 2018

I am writing this letter to recommend RAHIL BAKSHI a student of THE BRITISH SCHOOL JAKARTA, for his invaluable
commitment to our NGO, Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia, (Indonesia Care for Cancer Kids foundation), website
: www.ykaki.or.id

YKAKI is an initiative that we founded in 2006, and our main program are giving a home and caring for children with
cancer. We provide shelter, the right nutrition through meals for free, provide transportation for their medical needs and
provide education through teachers. All this is done for the children while they are going through their treatment in the
hospital. YKAKI have 8 shelter houses called RUMAH KITA , outside of Jakarta including Makassar & Manado in Sulawesi,
Bandung, Semarang, Jogya, Surabaya, and Pekanbaru, each of our homes mirror the same activities. Most child patients
accompanied by their parent(s) stay in RUMAH KITA from six months up to four years. YKAKI work closely with nearby
hospitals and employed professional teachers to assist the kids with their education and transfer their credit to their
origin school to avoid them from dropping out by the school. Since 2006 YKAKI are able to teach approx. 5.061 children
from Jakarta and other YKAKI branches, and over 2.000 children have benefited to stay at RUMAH KITA. All of this is
provided free to patients and thanks to donor in supporting YKAKI , and we still need help to fund day by day operations.

I first met Rahil in late 2017. Rahil struck me as a diligent, enthusiastic and compassionate boy with an interest in making
a difference to the local community.

He had a recent close hand experience with his father going through cancer and wanted to have the opportunity to give
back to society and especially children.

He spent time with me, interviewed children in the main center and understood what they and we really wanted from
the book. Over the next few months, he wrote the script which went through multiple iterations, then worked on the
design and with all approvals in place printed ready for distribution for our annual day end of March 2018.

As the Chairwoman, I got to know Rahil well over the months as he has worked tirelessly to do the guide and nutrition
booklet for children with Cancer. The book ends with some really fun and easy recipes that are nutritious for kids. Rahil
wrote the book initially in English and after corrections got this translated to Bahasa, printed the number of copies we
needed and gave us the same.

We really value the effort he took driven by his need to give back to children with cancer,

Considering his academic record and host of extracurricular achievements including football which he says is his passion
and the work he has done for us, I am extremely proud to recommend him for admission into your university.
