Forest Fires

Riau - A total of 120 hotspots of forest fires were monitored by Terra and Aqua satellites
throughout Sumatra Island, Sunday (08/12/2018). However, the majority of hotspots are in Riau
Province.

The head of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Pekanbaru,
Marzuki, revealed this. The rest, spread in North Sumatra 15 points, West Sumatra 11 points,
Jambi 4 points, Bangka Belitung 16 points, Bengkulu 2 points, South Sumatra 10 points, and

measuring 7 on the Richter scale (SR), Sunday (08/05/2018) night. The Meteorology,
Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has detected a tsunami at three points.

The first tsunami was detected in Carik Lombok, at 18.48 WIB with an altitude of 0.135 meters.
The second tsunami at Badas Lombok, at 18.54 WIB with an altitude of 0.100 m.
