Greetings of love and peace in Jesus!

By God’s grace, and because the Holy Spirit has urged us and has also given strength and skill to do the work, we have the goal
of getting a much larger collection of good music together that we can all use to teach our children, our neighbors’ children, and
the children of this entire world. With these materials, we teach music at the same time that we teach children about Jesus and
his Word.

Jesus died for our sins and wants to gather all his children home to heaven with him! May he take us there soon!

And so here are gathered 60 songs to begin teaching very young children with. The songs are simple. The English language is
emphasized, and what works well to persuade with the English language is emphasized. However, in this starter booklet there
are not many songs with instrumental parts, unfortunately.

This is a workbook. Thus, it contains not much in terms of breath marks, crescendos, decrescendos, and the like. It is meant to
be written in, and worked on. Those kinds of things can be assigned.

All the songs in this book are public domain and you can freely make copies and/or use them as you wish.

May God bless you! Dear Lord Jesus, come, take us home!

And after these, you shall dissolve in joy.
D And will you leave me in this vale of tears
To struggle with temptations, doubts and fears?
J I leave you, now, but leave you not alone.
My Spirit shall remain when I am gone.

D What consolation, Jesus, can I find

When you are gone, and I am left behind?
J My Spirit, child, my Spirit, that is I—
Is with my own, alive, to testify.
In love to you I send my Spirit down
To comfort you and guide you to the crown—
D O Christ, what demonstrations of your love!
A Guide on earth, you praying there above—
J Receive with joy his voice of warning love,
My own—my heart, I wait for you above!

And reconciled my soul to God.

All things are fading here below.
But heaven’s joy no end can know.

Though death o’er flocks and herds prevail,
I joy, though sin and world assail!
