When we talk, we locate our bodies, make various postures, make eye contact, slight

movement of the hands, and behaving in different ways to make the interactive event
successful. Unlike verbal communication, the meaning of the words can be altered, thus
establishing a solid conversation easier. Historically, studying these two has never been the
same. They are always separated, making the research more understandable . Many scholars
from communication and other related fields have been studying verbal and non verbal
languages. But, there is a certain historical record of criticism against the research on
separating the study on verbal and non – verbal languages. For example, Adam Kendon (1977)
argued that the theories about a study of only speech should be thought of as special language
theories, while on the other hand making the different aspect of behavior (visible and audible)
function together as one.
