WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF?

The lung is formed by the pulmonary lobes that are continued with the
bronchioles and the intrapulmonary bronchi; It is also formed by the
connective tissue that connects the lobes, vessels and bronchioles.

DEFINITION

The lungs are the organs in which the blood receives oxygen from the
air and, in turn, the carbon dioxide is released from the blood, which
passes into the air. The exchange is produced by the diffusion of
oxygen and carbon dioxide between the blood and the alveoli that
make up the lungs.

FUNTION

The main function of the lungs are to carry out the gas exchange with
the blood. In the alveoli, there is the passage of oxygen from the air
to the blood and the passage of carbon dioxide from the blood into
the air.
